Hoy les traemos noticias sobre una banda de Buenos Aires llamada Bambis. Su cantante y compositor, Diego Barreiro, contó con la producción de nuestro Will Berman para la realización del disco. Un dato curioso: algunas partes fueron grabadas en el viejo estudio de grabación de Gustavo Cerati.

I guess I should talk about my MGMT concert experience at Musikfest.

Basically. It was beautiful and everything I’ve needed for the past few months. A Revival. It had been exactly a year since I saw them at the US Open and that’s far too long for me.

When we got to the venue and picked up our tickets it started to pour. Like literally we were like oh god here it comes and then boom. There was lightning and thunder and buckets of rain. It let up so we decided to go back to the line but we ended up soaking wet anyway. Our seats were pretty great. In the front left section on the back row. Not too far, not too close in the huge crowd and a perfect angle to see it all. Except for Will, </3 how Ironic. It was raining and I was freezing as Bradford Cox entertained us with not only his beautiful heart felt music but his always witty and hilarious stage banter. The sun finally came out as the set ended and the sun began to descend. Bradford told us we were in for a psychedelic nightmare. If only my nightmares were that wonderful all the time. The humble fellows took the stage and immediately wisked my soul away with Pieces of What. My soul burst with happiness. This is what I’ve needed for so long. They played an amazing show. They added new inflections in their voices and little bits and pieces in their songs that weren’t there before. It’s crazy after seeing them 9 times you can pick out every small different detail. But thats what makes them so great. They covered Only A Shadow which is SO MY FAVORITE EVER. And Angie which was absolutely beautiful. The lights and background was amazing. Saw some new visuals there too. The crowd was a little lame, basically drunk party people looking for a dance party. People rushed the barrier as soon as Andrew gave word but we just stayed back in our seats. We had a great view be cause there was nobody infront of us. I danced and sang my heart out. It was so relaxing and intense but not overwhelming in the least. I didnt try to meet them or anything afterwards because I was so content with the way the night went. I didn’t need it. I didnt need a crazy adventure or anything extraordinary to happen. I just needed their music pulsing through my atoms. And that’s exactly what I got <3
